Every year our friend our calls in the spring to let us know his tree is full of kumquats. We pick them by the gallon! This year we decided to candy these tiny citrus fruits in a mix of sugar and hand made orange blossom water.
An amazing taste experience for your palate, the tiny citrus kumquat fruit is tart on the inside and have a sweet finish with the peel. Unlike most other citrus fruits - you eat kumquats whole, peel and all!
Fully candied, we've dried these tiny morsels for a crunchy little treat. Or add some to a glass of prosecco or champagne for a summer treat.
