This slow process, candies the fruit in a sugar syrup over a period of several days over very low heat to keep the fruit whole.
The candied mandarins are filled with a sweet orange syrup. You can chop the candied fruit into pieces to add to your favorite desserts or to garnish salads with a hint of citrus. You can also add pieces of fruit and the syrup to cocktails.
