This spring our dear friend had a tree full of kumquats. When these kumquats come ripe, we come running.
The kumquats are mix of sweet and tart and perfect for making salt preserved fruit. We've added fragrant spring forsythia blossoms and a dash of flower salt to the mix.
The kumquats will be perfect to add to a tagine or as a vibrant citrus dressing. They are also wonderful in rice and vegetable dishes. Or puree some with olive oil for an amazing salad dressing.
