This year one of our favorite plum farmers had Quetsche plums at the market.
These French (and hard to find gems) are usually grown in the Alsace region of France - up in the mountains near the French and German border. These little purple gems with yellow flesh taste like just like Christmas. The plums are filled with the scent and flavor of the holidays.
We love the preserves with fresh pears or a little goat cheese. They will match perfectly with any cheese platter or be perfect with a brunch celebration.
