I grew up in the countryside of the Midwest - canning summer vegetables with my family all season long.

A few years ago, I found the love of canning again after a family vacation to the south of France. I found jars of jam in every little town.  When I came home, I was inspired to try some jams for simple gifts for family and friends.

When a coworker brought us 50 pounds of homegrown peaches - Lemon Bird Handmade Jams was born.

I've been making jams with locally grown fruit ever since.  All our fruit is processed by hand and our jams are made in small batches. As we listen to the quiet, peaceful bubbling of the jam in the pot, we remember the long summer days of growing up in the garden.
